It’s official! After eight months of waiting, I received my results for Teachers’ College, and I got accepted at four of the five I applied to! Exciting news, I know, and it’s going to be a pretty significant transition for us. We’ll be moving out of Toronto, but not too far. The real excitement is in not knowing what will happen after graduation.

The parable of Jesus calming the storm when his disciples were in the boat was re=illustrated to me at church last week. We were asked to consider who said “Let’s go over there,” and we were then asked to consider “Who was in the boat with the terrified disciples.” Jesus is the answer, in case you haven’t guessed, and that was reassuring for me. He’s in the “boat” with us all the time, and he’s going to take us to calm waters and stormy waters, regardless. Just think: if the boat goes down, Jesus is going with it, and there isn’t any possible way the boats going to sink with Jesus in it.

So Teachers’ College is just another step in our lives as a family. We’ve moved half way around the world, and moving isn’t foreign to us. But I have to say that it is a little intimidating not knowing what’s going to happen afterwards. But I’m excited and relieved that Jesus is with us as He has promised: never will I leave you, never will I foresake you.
